With over 20 years of experience, Gord is recognized as a leader in sports, sponsorship and activation consulting both in Canada, U.S. and abroad. His experience spans many of the leading professional sport properties, including NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, FIFA and ATP. He has also worked closely with grassroots and national sports organizations, such as: Hockey Canada, Tennis Canada, Golf Canada, and the Canadian Olympic Team.
Gord’s client experience ranges across many industry categories including sports broadcast, telecommunications, financial services, automotive, petroleum, airline, retail, athletic equipment and others. As a result, Gord has a detailed understanding of the evolution of the sports, sponsorship and media landscapes.
Gord is recognized for developing and incorporating innovative approaches to identifying insights and marketing advantages for clients in the areas of:
- Optimizing sponsorship portfolios
- Identifying emotional connection for and between brands and properties
- Evaluating the effectiveness of event sponsorship and experiential marketing
Gord is a member of ESOMAR and a graduate of the Smith School of Business at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Gord has extensive experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative projects and is an experienced moderator.
Gord’s lifelong passion for sports extends beyond the office. He’s an avid sports fan that actively follows NHL, NFL, CFL, NBA and MLB. A former hockey player in the Peterborough Petes’ organization, Gord now stays active with tennis, cycling, the gym and the occasional round of golf.
